Czech and Slovak film music

In the Czechoslovakian film worked and works a number of talented composers. It'is unbelievable how few of their creation was officially released on the LP or CD. The same applies for the greatest composers of Czech film music such as Zdeněk Liška, Luboš Fišer and Jiří Šust. The official releases of their music could be counted on the fingers of one hand, and it is a shame that a large part of it are the things released in the foreign. You can find a overview of officially released Czech and Slovak film music on the website http://cs.ostlib.com/en.

In many cases the music from the old movies is not preserve - for example, it was destroyed after 1989, when it was not possible to pay rent for the storage facilities. In some cases, there is the film music preserve only in the private archives of the composers and their relatives and acquaintances. However, there the dust is collecting on the records and music record loses on the quality, because it is often recorded on perishable medium.
