News from Archive (October 2021)
After a more then 1 year, we bring you new information about our progress. First of all, I would like to inform you that we have completed the transfers of tapes from the archive of composer Jiří Václav. Some of them have already been included in our database, some are waiting to be identified, where we cooperate with J. Václav's family.
We also managed to discover several tapes and cassettes with music by composer Jan F. Fisher in his estate. Most of them are recordings from operas, musicals, but there were also several stage musicals for films or plays. However, since these are tapes on smaller discs, it was necessary to find a player to digitize it. And it was found!!! It is a Tesla B113 player, so we started converting these tapes. We purchased a cassette encoder, thanks to which we were able to convert the cassettes. Quality isn't the best, but there's not much we can do about it. Titles will be added hopefully by the end of the year.
Regarding the Václav Lídl's archive, half of it has already been transferred and we will assure the transfer of the remaining tapes. We also obtained other tapes with music by Jaroslav Celba, which will soon be in the digital format.
